Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in WA, ID, NV, AZ, and UT. You will perform protection and control testing and on-site relay verification for high voltage substations, supporting field teams and project leadership.

Applicants should have strong experience with Omicron CMC/256/356, Doble F6150, and related test equipment, plus a solid track record in safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance in

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
7+ years in electrical testing incl HV breakers, transformers, CBs, protection and controls testing.
Experience with transmission, generation, and distribution relays and protective schemes.
Relay calibration using Omicron CMC/356 and Doble F6150; testing of CT/PT.
Experience with electrical field testing standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA).
Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

Perform protection and control testing for high voltage substations.
On-site relay testing using Omicron and Doble equipment.
Document site activities with field forms, digital tools, and logs.
Assist and mentor junior technicians; ensure safety and quality.
