Job summary

Amazon.com LLC - A03 is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to set engineering standards for power systems across the OneMHS program. The role focuses on safety, scalability, and reliability in distribution hardware for material handling operations.

The ideal candidate will lead power system design, perform arc flash studies, and drive specification development with WWDE, Operations Engineering, and strategic suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of power systems design and hardware development experience for large-scale material handling systems.
• Proven expertise in 3-phase power system design and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
• Develop MDBs, PDPs, and substations with proper sizing and protection coordination.
• Perform arc flash calculations and labeling per NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584.
• Prepare A/E drawings, panel schedules, and electrical plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize specifications and improve project delivery.
