Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Power & Hardware Design Engineer to lead power distribution and hardware development for its material handling systems. This role focuses on safety, scalability, and operational excellence within the OneMHS program.
The ideal candidate will drive engineering standards, perform arc flash studies, and collaborate with WWDE, Operations Engineering, and strategic partners to deliver robust, compliant solutions across facilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in power systems design, electrical engineering, and/or hardware development.
- Experience with large scale mechanical and power systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and power distribution for industrial material handling applications.
- Design and specify MDBs, PDPs, and substations, ensuring proper sizing and protection coordination.
- Develop single-line diagrams, power distribution schematics, and panel schedules.
