Job summary
Amazon.com LLC is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to lead power systems development for the OneMHS program. You will drive standardization of power distribution, safety practices, and hardware solutions for large-scale material handling facilities.
The role requires deep expertise in electrical design, arc flash studies, NEC/NFPA compliance, and collaboration with WWDE, Operations Engineering, and suppliers to deliver scalable, reliable systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in power systems design and hardware development.
- Proficient in arc flash calculations and NFPA 70E compliance.
- Strong knowledge of NEC Code (NFPA 70) and related standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize 3-phase power systems for material handling facilities.
- Develop MDBs, PDPs, substations, and panel schedules with proper protection coordination.
- Perform arc flash analyses and label electrical equipment per standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize power system designs.
