Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Sr. Project Manager with Power Delivery Engineering experience to join our Overhead Transmission Group in San Diego.

You will lead engineering execution from initiation to issued-for-construction design, coordinating with procurement, construction, and client stakeholders. The role requires managing multiple concurrent projects, mentoring diverse teams, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline is required.
• Demonstrated experience with project management in transmission, substation, power delivery, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience serving as the primary client interface and strong understanding of utility engineering design, construction support, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution for complex transmission and substation projects from initiation through construction support.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, resource loading, and schedule performance; identify risks and mitigation strategies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
