Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Project Manager with Power Delivery Engineering experience to join our Overhead Transmission Group. You will lead engineering execution for transmission and substation projects, manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

You will serve as the primary client contact, coordinate with procurement and construction, and ensure deliverables meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years of progressively responsible project management experience in transmission, substation, power delivery, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of engineering project delivery processes, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and common collaboration platforms (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering execution of transmission and substation projects from kickoff through issued-for-construction design packages.
• Develop and implement engineering execution plans, deliverable schedules, staffing plans, and project work breakdown structures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, electrical, protection and controls, telecommunications, and environmental disciplines.
• Manage engineering scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual requirements.
• Facilitate engineering reviews, design workshops, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, design changes, and document releases.
• Serve as the primary client contact during project engineering execution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, utility stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and project partners.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
