Job summary

Huntington Bank, N.A. is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to support the Project Finance & Infrastructure team. The role covers underwriting, financial modeling, and managing a high-quality project finance portfolio across energy and infrastructure sectors.

The Sr. Portfolio Manager will work closely with Relationship Managers and the Credit Department, leading due diligence, post‑closing activities, and risk management to safeguard portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in Project Finance with competence in Financial Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the point person when underwriting credit transactions for the assigned portfolio and new clients.
• Recommends capital structure and accumulates data for focused analysis; manages approvals for amendments and waivers to credit facilities.
• Reviews financial statements, projection models, project cash flow models to support credit decisions.
• Prepares thorough credit underwriting identifying industry concerns, market trends, and underwriting issues for Credit Officer review.
• Ensures underwriting and structuring decisions reflect strong asset quality and profitability.
• Obtains and negotiates necessary documentation including credit agreements, notes, pledges and collateral.
• Acts as a value added member of deal teams with loan syndication, origination, and distribution for syndicated credits.
• Mentors junior professionals.
