Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking a Sr. Portfolio Manager (Associate Director) to support the PFI, Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams.

You will underwrite, build a high-quality Project Finance portfolio, and work with Relationship Managers and Credit to ensure strong asset quality. Responsibilities include due diligence, financial modeling, documentation, post-closing activities, and collaboration with deal teams to optimize risk-adjusted returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 5+ years of underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in Project Finance with strong financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze credit transactions for the assigned portfolio and new clients.
• Recommend capital structure and manage amendments/waivers to credit facilities.
• Review financial statements, cash flow models and project data to support credit decisions.
• Prepare credit underwriting and present findings to Credit Officer.
• Ensure decisions reflect strong asset quality and prudent capital use.
• Negotiate documents including credit agreements, notes and collateral.
• Support deal teams with loan syndication, origination and distribution.
• Assist Relationship Managers with marketing materials and client pitches.
• Identify problem accounts and maintain bank's risk position.
• Mentor junior professionals.
