Job summary

Huntington National Bank’s Project Finance & Infrastructure team seeks a Sr. Portfolio Manager to support underwriting and portfolio management of project finance loans across energy sectors.

You will work with Relationship Managers and Credit to underwrite deals, build financial models, and manage post-closing activities to safeguard portfolio performance. The role requires strong project finance knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings concisely across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 5+ years in underwriting, credit, or portfolio management in Project Finance with financial modeling.
• Strong knowledge of US power & energy markets; experience with renewables or energy infrastructure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite credit transactions for the assigned portfolio and new clients.
• Recommend capital structure and analyze data for credit decisions.
• Review financial statements, projection models, and cash flow to support underwriting.
• Prepare thorough credit underwriting materials for the Credit Officer.
• Ensure underwriting decisions reflect strong asset quality.
• Mentor junior professionals and collaborate with deal teams.
