Volkert Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer/Construction Manager to support Maritime and Port service lines across the Gulf Coast region. The role will involve design leadership, project and construction management, and client communication for complex port projects across Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Regional travel and occasional remote work are required. The candidate should have a broad background in port and maritime design and construction, including terminal expansions, dredging,

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Civil or Port Engineering Construction Management/Architecture/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant design and construction project management experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsabilidades

• Lead design engineer for port and maritime projects from concept through design and bid package preparation.
• Manage and deliver construction of port and maritime projects.
• Owner's Representative in communications with design firms, contractors, and suppliers.
• Develop Project Execution Plan (PEP) with team roles, schedule, and staffing.
• Conduct kick-off meetings, ensure quality control, and maintain project documentation.
• Monitor progress and prepare monthly project reviews and progress reports.
• Support budgets, schedules, and change order processes for the owner and contractors.
