Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Sr Program Manager in Plano, TX to oversee the integration and management of multiple large-scale programs. You will lead a team of PM/PMO professionals, drive cost and schedule control, and ensure customer relations and technical execution meet high-visibility deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry.
• 5+ years leading large scale projects, with scope spanning multiple years, while leading teams made up of 10+ cross functional members.
• Experience with evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale projects, or portfolio of projects up to a large independent program.
• Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Manage total Program Integration for multiple large-scale projects or one highly complex development with high visibility and above-average deliverable requirements.
• Lead a portfolio of other Program and/or Project Managers, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities.
• Formulate and lead a team to fulfill program requirements.
• Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
• Manage program risks by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them.
• Conduct routine meetings and interface on project/program status.
• Develop proposals, conduct research and fact-finding, coordinate audits, and negotiate with project/program stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
