Job summary

Hippo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Insurance Products charter, including the rating and pricing engine, coverage logic, and core platform infrastructure. You will drive multi-year strategy, partner with Legal/Compliance, and lead cross-functional initiatives to keep Hippo competitive and profitable.

You’ll work with Insurance, Legal/Compliance, Operations, and Engineering to deliver on time with strong risk mitigation and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of backlogs and managing a team of engineers.
• Experience owning or building platform-level products—rules engines, pricing/rating engines, configuration systems.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-impact products.
• Strong stakeholder management to align business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Data-driven decision making with ability to define metrics, analyze results, and iterate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present strategy and roadmaps to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year product strategy and vision for Hippo’s Insurance Products platform.
• Identify opportunities to modernize and scale the platform to improve speed-to-market and profitability.
• Influence company-level prioritization decisions across product, engineering, and leadership.
• Stay ahead of market, regulatory, and competitive trends and translate into a roadmap.
