Job summary

Hippo is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Insurance Products to own the rating and pricing engine, coverage and eligibility logic, and the core infrastructure behind Hippo’s insurance products. This strategic role combines platform ownership with direct P&L impact, guiding multi-year direction while delivering near-term execution.

• 7+ years in product management with end-to-end lifecycle ownership.
• Experience owning platform-level products like rules engines or pricing/rating engines.
• Cross-functional leadership with engineers, legal/compliance, and business teams.
• Data-driven decision making with measurable outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year strategy for Hippo’s Insurance Products platform, including rating, pricing, coverages, and eligibility.
• Lead large cross-functional initiatives with compliance, operations, and engineering.
• Create crisp requirements (PRDs, stories, acceptance criteria) and partner with design, data, and engineering.
• Drive KPIs, iterate based on results, and ensure auditable changes.
• Collaborate with Insurance, Legal/Compliance, and Ops to meet business needs.
