Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Virginia to lead transmission routing and siting for electric infrastructure projects. You will develop buildable routing solutions and collaborate with utility staff, regulators, and communities to deliver complex projects.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while guiding a team and ensuring quality client service within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 10 years related experience in linear projects involving land acquisition, routing or environmental planning.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for utility and developer infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project teams including utility staff and consultants.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for line routes and site selection.
• Define and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor newer staff to deliver client work.
• Build relationships with HDR and utility staff; support business development.
• Lead development and apply strategic thinking across projects.
