Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Transmission Routing & Siting to lead buildable routing studies for electric transmission projects in Texas and beyond. You will work with utility staff, developers, regulators, and communities to deliver safe, reliable and compliant siting solutions and manage client expectations.

Join HDR’s employee-owned team and help shape energy infrastructure while mentoring staff and guiding complex multi-disciplinary efforts on regional and national projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in linear projects involving land acquisition, routing or environmental planning.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Experience with state utility regulatory agencies and system operators.
• Experience providing expert witness testimony is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop buildable routing and siting solutions for electric facilities.
• Coordinate with utility staff, developers and consultants.
• Engage with government agencies, regulators, communities and landowners.
• Prepare testimony and technical documentation for line route and site selection.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop newer staff to produce client deliverables.
• Build relationships with HDR and utility staff.
• Travel on average 10-20% of the time.
