Job summary

IPS - Integrated Project Services, LLC is seeking a Lead Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at eastern U.S. office locations (MA, PA, NJ, MD, or NC).

The role involves leading design across all phases, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with clients and other trades. The candidate will oversee scope, budget, and staffing with project managers, prepare design studies, and produce drawings and calculations for plumbing and fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of engineering/design experience in building design.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering from an accredited college.
• Expertise in AutoCAD/Revit for engineering design.
• Knowledge of Mechanical or Fire Protection system design and codes.
• Experience with plumbing and fire protection calculations software.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects as Project Lead across all design phases.
• Mentor Designers and Engineers on project execution.
• Define scope, budget, and staffing with the Project Manager.
• Prepare design studies, schematics, and reports for projects.
• Review budgets and progress, coordinate with clients and other trades.
• Oversee plumbing and fire protection design layouts and calculations.
• Ensure construction support and documentation accuracy.
