Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer (5–15 years) to join our Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing team in any New England office. The role emphasizes taking mechanical concepts to implementation, coordinating with multi-disciplinary staff, and contributing to contract drawings for a range of facilities.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a PE license or ability to obtain one, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing, fire protection, mechanical design or energy experience.
• Working knowledge of Drain, Waste & Vent design and fire protection calculations.
• PE license or ability to obtain PE in any US state.
• Ability to travel locally in New England and occasionally the east coast.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design documentation for new and renovation projects across facilities.
• Field investigation, shop drawing review, reports, and contract drawings production.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, sub‑consultants, and clients.
• Work independently and as part of a multidiscipline team.
