Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing team in New England offices. The role involves designing and documenting projects for private, public, federal, and municipal sectors, with travel in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of related experience, and strong communication skills. PE license or ability to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; PE license or ability to obtain PE in any US state.
• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing, fire protection, mechanical design and/or energy related experience.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and coordinating with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design documentation for new and renovation projects across facility types.
• Field investigations, shop drawing reviews, and production of contract drawings.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, sub-consultants, utilities, vendors and clients.
• Lead and oversee junior staff on complex projects.
