Job summary

Weston & Sampson, Inc. is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing team across New England offices.

You will design and coordinate MEP projects, review drawings, and work with multi-disciplinary teams on private, public, federal, and municipal facilities. The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a PE or ability to obtain one, 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects and travel

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain a PE in any US state.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant plumbing fire protection, mechanical design and/or energy related experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Active member of relevant industry associations.
• Capable of managing multiple complex projects and directing junior staff.
• Capable of working safely at job sites near large mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Willingness to travel locally in New England and occasionally the east coast.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design documentation for new and renovation projects across facility types.
• Design includes field investigation, shop drawing review, reports, and contract drawings.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, sub-consultants, utilities, vendors and clients.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
