Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City, New Jersey, is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to guide a high-performing team in reliability practices and shape cloud platform evolution.

You will lead resiliency design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive SRE initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders to define SLIs/SLOs and incident response processes, including AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Fluent in at least one programming language such as: Python, Java/Spring Boot, .Net.
• Proficient with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tooling.
• Proficient with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and related tooling.
• Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Advanced knowledge of observability and reliability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead resiliency design reviews and mentor engineers across the team.
• Improve reliability and stability of applications and platforms using data-driven analytics.
• Define service level indicators/objectives and collaborate with stakeholders to establish error budgets.
• Coordinate major incident response and minimize financial impact to the business.
• Promote AI-assisted reliability workflows across the SDLC/toolchain and ensure traceability and security controls.
