Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define and elevate reliability across critical applications within the Infrastructure & Production Management sector of Consumer & Community Banking. You will lead a team, mentor engineers, and guide initiatives leveraging AI to automate and improve resilience.

The role emphasizes advocacy of SRE principles, incident leadership, and bringing cross-domain expertise in observability, cloud platforms, and CI/CD to ensure high service

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied SRE experience.
• Proven success in an SRE or senior DevOps role with SLIs/SLOs, incident management, postmortem analysis, and reliability.
• Expert in observability stacks and correlating telemetry across services and time.
• Hands-on coding in a high-level language and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Active interest or experience applying AI to operations (LLM copilots, anomaly detection, auto runbooks).

Responsibilities

• Advocate and embody site reliability principles within the team.
• Lead resiliency design reviews and break down complex problems for engineers.
• Serve as technical lead for medium to large-sized products.
• Provide mentoring and guidance on AI in operations.
• Act as the primary incident contact during major outages and drive rapid resolution.
