Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability across critical applications and platforms in Plano, TX. You will mentor teams, define resiliency strategies, and lead incident response with a focus on AI-assisted operations.

The role requires deep expertise in SRE practices, observability, and cloud-native tech, while delivering under high accountability in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proven success in an SRE or senior DevOps role with deep knowledge of SLIs/SLOs, incident management, postmortem analysis, and systems reliability.
• Expert with observability stacks including Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Elk, OpenTelemetry.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and embody site reliability principles and drive a culture of excellence.
• Leverage AI tools to automate processes and improve operational effectiveness.
• Lead projects to enhance reliability and stability of applications and platforms.
• Use data-driven analytics and AI to automate detection, diagnosis, and resolution, raising service levels.
• Engage stakeholders to set realistic service level objectives and error budgets.
