You will work across Java/Drools, React/Node/Postgres, Node.js/Temporal, Kafka, and Databricks to diagnose issues, improve performance, and implement focused features with an eye for maintainability. The role emphasizes reliability engineering, monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with delivery pods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Proficiency across Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and failure handling.
• Hands-on observability practices: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent) with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Maintenance-and-reliability mindset and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance - Maintain and support services across the full platform; build and keep current a working knowledge of each component and how they integrate.
• Reliability Engineering - Monitor platform health, investigate production issues, and resolve bottlenecks, failures, and scaling constraints.
• Feature Implementation - Design and ship features, enhancements, and technical improvements across platform components.
• Observability - Extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production visibility.
• Performance and scale - Profile and tune components under load and scale with growth.
• Quality - Write tests, code reviews, and maintain engineering standards.
• Incident response - Participate in on-call, root-cause analysis, and durable fixes.
• Collaboration - Work with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence to own long-term components.
