Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Comfortable with polyglot codebases; read, debug, and extend Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, event-driven patterns, and failure handling.
• Hands-on observability with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Experience operating services on cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent) with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Maintenance- and reliability-minded; clean, well-documented code and on-call readiness.
• Clear communicator who explains systems and incidents to engineers and non-engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance—Maintain and support services across the full platform.
• Reliability Engineering—Monitor health, investigate issues, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Feature Implementation—Design and ship focused features across platform components.
• Observability—Extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production insights.
• Performance and scale—Profile and tune components under load for scalable growth.
• Quality—Write tests, participate in code reviews, uphold engineering standards.
• Incident response—On-call rotation, root-cause analysis, and durable fixes.
• Collaboration—Work with pods and Decision Intelligence for long-term ownership.
