Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to keep the NBA platform healthy, reliable, and scalable, spanning Java, Node.js, Python, and data pipelines. You’ll diagnose issues, improve reliability, and implement focused features across the stack in a hands‑on role.

This role emphasizes observability, on‑call readiness, and long‑term platform ownership, working with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence to ensure durable improvements and maintainable systems.

Competenze

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Comfortable reading and debugging multi-language codebases (Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, SQL).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, event‑driven patterns, and failure handling.
• Hands‑on observability with structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Experience operating services on cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent) with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• A maintenance‑and‑reliability mindset: health and well‑documented code as primary work.
• Clear communicator able to explain a system or an incident to engineers and non‑engineers alike.
