Job summary

Salesforce is hiring a Software Engineer at the MTS/SMTS level to join the IT Employee Success & Finance Platform, Data and Innovations team in Atlanta. You will build reliable, scalable platform capabilities for Employee Success and Finance systems, focusing on observability, data integration, and AI-enabled operations.

The role includes leading architecture discussions, mentoring engineers, and delivering services across teams, with a platform-first mindset and strong cloud experience on AWS

Qualifications

• Professional software development experience building and operating production systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with observability, telemetry, logging, and data pipelines is preferred.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies and modern software practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and security practices.
• Cloud experience with AWS; GCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate telemetry, observability, logging, and alerting systems with real-time visibility into health and performance.
• Advance observability to proactive, AI-assisted issue detection and root-cause analysis.
• Build data pipelines and platform services integrating enterprise systems.
• Enable analytics and AI use cases through reliable, governed data.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Develop scalable infrastructure using open-source tech on AWS (and some GCP).
• Collaborate across teams to close platform gaps and improve developer experience.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and planning.
• Promote best practices for code quality, security, and reliability.
