Job summary

Salesforce is hiring a Software Engineer at either MTS or SMTS level to join the IT Employee Success and Finance Platform, Data and Innovations team. You will build reliable platform capabilities, contribute to design, and mentor engineers as you scale services across AWS and GCP.

This role focuses on data platforms, telemetry, and agented AI use cases. You will collaborate with security, data, and other engineering teams to improve reliability, developer experience, and operational

Qualifications

Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go and production-grade software.
Experience with observability, telemetry, logging, and alerting.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and security practices.
Cloud infrastructure knowledge, especially AWS; GCP is a plus.
Distributed systems understanding and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate telemetry, observability, logging, and alerting systems with real-time visibility.
Advance observability beyond dashboards to AI-assisted issue detection and root-cause analysis.
Build and evolve data pipelines and platform services integrating enterprise systems.
Enable analytics and AI use cases through reliable data governance.
