Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SMTS) for the Commerce Cloud Visibility Team to own full-stack observability and telemetry services across cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to high-impact system health, reliability, and revenue growth through scalable SaaS solutions.

The role requires strong backend experience in Java/Golang/Python, cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, and a proven track record with CI/CD and API design.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent.
• Strong backend development experience using Java, Golang and/or Python.
• Experience deploying production code to cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing observability solutions for distributed systems.
• Production experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD (Spinnaker, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Experience developing API's or REST services.
• Experience with build tools (Helm, Terraform, Maven, Gradle).
• Core database(SQL/NOSQL) skills including ability to execute and debug complex queries.
• Experience developing SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with Scrum in an Agile Development environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on full lifecycle software components for enterprise SaaS web applications.
• Support CI, unit tests and functional automation.
• Lead the team in sub-component requirements and forecast effort.
• Provide attention to detail and deliver high-quality, stable deliverables.
• Work with multi-site, multi-cultural development and testing teams.
