Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer at MTS or SMTS level to join the IT Employee Success and Finance Platform team. The role focuses on building reliable platform capabilities, including telemetry, logging, and data pipelines, across Workday, Salesforce, and enterprise systems.

You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and impact long-term platform direction. You will contribute to open-source style tooling, CI/CD improvements, and cross-team collaboration, leveraging AWS

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go and production software development.
• Experience with observability, telemetry, logging, and alerting systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and open-source practices.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate telemetry, observability, logging, and alerting systems for real-time visibility.
• Advance observability beyond dashboards toward proactive issue detection and root-cause analysis.
• Build and evolve data pipelines and platform services integrating Workday, Salesforce, and other systems.
• Enable analytics, reporting, and AI use cases through secure, governed data.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security scanning.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Promote engineering best practices for reliability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to reusable patterns and documentation across the platform.
