Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Developer Experience team, owning Yahoo's enterprise Node.js runtimes, packages, container images, and reusable CI/CD workflows.

You will keep the ecosystem current, secure, reliable, and easy to use while improving automation, testing, documentation, and long-term maintainability. You will also contribute to broader source code management, AI tooling, and developer experience responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience maintaining developer platforms and runtimes.
Familiarity with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD tooling.
Experience with AI programming tools in software development.

Responsibilities

Own the lifecycle of Yahoo's Node.js runtimes, including releases and retirement.
Build and maintain Node.js packages, container images, and automated release pipelines.
Develop and support reusable CI/CD and GitHub Actions workflows for Node.js apps.
Monitor upstream releases, security updates, and dependency changes.
Troubleshoot runtime, build, packaging, container, and dependency issues.
Automate platform maintenance, testing, and release validation.
Collaborate with security, OS, container, CI/CD, and app teams on migrations.
Support Yahoo Enterprise GitHub/GitLab services and improve source code management.
Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and automate workflows.
Document platform operations and releases to internal users.
