Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking Senior Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group.

You will design, build, and operate core services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure to improve efficiency and reliability for thousands of engineers. You will own end-to-end services, drive architectural decisions, and mentor teams while collaborating across Coinbase to push platform improvements and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with strong distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language and experience with backend or platform systems.
• Strong emphasis on reliability, security, and observability.
• Clear communication and ability to drive projects independently across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve engineering productivity metrics such as build time, deploy speed, safety, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call.
• Partner with Coinbase teams to identify pain points and translate them into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them to production.
• Mentor engineers and shape the platform's technical direction.
