Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring Senior Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group in the United States. You will design, build, and operate core platform services that enable engineers to ship code faster and more safely.

You’ll own end-to-end services across CI, build, deployment, and test infrastructure, collaborating with teams to reduce build times and improve reliability. Remote-first, quarterly in-person surges; strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language.
• Track record shipping backend or platform systems with ownership.
• Strong reliability, security, and observability focus.
• Clear communication and ability to drive projects independently.
• Experience with developer infrastructure or platform domains such as CI/CD, build systems, release tooling, test infrastructure, or developer productivity.
• Experience operating at scale with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containers.
• Experience with observability and performance tooling such as Datadog.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve engineering productivity metrics, including build and CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams across Coinbase to understand pain points and turn them into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them through production.
• Mentor engineers and help shape the technical direction of the platform.
