Job summary

Coinbase in the United States is hiring Senior Software Engineers for Developer Infrastructure to design, build, and operate core platform services that power code from commit to production. You will own services end to end, collaborating across Coinbase to improve build speed, deployment safety, and test reliability.

You will lead design for cross-cutting projects and mentor engineers while supporting reliable, secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go or a similar language.
• Ownership from design through production of backend or platform systems.
• Experience operating at scale with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containers.
• Experience with observability and performance tooling such as Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve engineering productivity metrics, including build and CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams across Coinbase to understand pain points and turn them into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them through production.
• Mentor engineers and help shape the technical direction of the platform.
