Job summary

Coinbase’s Developer Infrastructure team builds core platform services used across the engineering org. You’ll design, build, and operate CI/build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure to accelerate speed and reliability at scale.

You will own end-to-end services, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers while collaborating with teams across Coinbase. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and observability in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software, with distributed systems focus.
• Proven ability to ship high-impact backend or platform systems.
• Strong reliability, security, and observability instincts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve key engineering productivity metrics, including build/CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them to production.
• Mentor engineers and help shape the platform's technical direction.
