Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring Software Engineers for Developer Infrastructure. You will build and operate core platform services, spanning CI/build, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.

You will own components end-to-end, from implementation to monitoring, and contribute to on-call rotations. You’ll focus on reliability, security, and observability while partnering with multiple engineering teams to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience shipping backend or platform features with ownership from implementation to production.
• Operational mindset focusing on reliability, security, and observability.
• Clear communication and ability to drive scoped projects with limited guidance.
• Customer-focused mindset measuring success by impact on engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate core developer-infrastructure services — CI/build, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure — that are fast, reliable, and secure by default at Coinbase scale.
• Contribute to improvements in build/CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback time.
• Own end-to-end components from implementation through testing, rollout, and monitoring, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Write high-quality, well-tested production-ready code and release with confidence.
• Collaborate with Coinbase engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and drive your own projects to completion.
• Share knowledge, provide thoughtful code reviews, and raise the quality bar.
