Job summary

Coinbase is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure used by thousands of engineers. You will own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations, across CI/build systems and deployment tooling.

You'll collaborate with multiple teams to reduce build times, improve deployment safety, and strengthen test reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containers.
• Strong reliability, security, and observability focus with ownership from design to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
• Improve key engineering productivity metrics, including build and CI time, deploy speed and safety, and test feedback quality.
• Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
• Partner with engineering teams across Coinbase to understand pain points and turn them into platform improvements.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and drive them through production.
• Mentor engineers and help shape the technical direction of the platform.
