Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Billing Experience team. You will own public and internal billing APIs, build full-stack features for Elastic Cloud consoles, and lead projects end-to-end.

Collaborate with Product, Design, SRE, and Cloud Infra to raise engineering quality and reliability. You will mentor juniors, participate in design reviews, and help shape priorities with Product Leads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend or full-stack engineering building and maintaining APIs.
• Experience with customer-facing or developer-facing products at scale.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems for reliability and scale.
• Background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Frontend tech experience for dashboards or consoles is a plus (React).
• Strong technical judgment and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve public and internal billing APIs with focus on reliability and DX.
• Design and build full-stack features in Elastic Cloud consoles.
• Lead small to medium projects end-to-end within the team.
• Contribute to API design decisions: versioning, contracts, consistency.
