Job summary

Temporal is hiring a Senior Platform Architect to own production readiness from purchase to stable production. You will shape delivery patterns, operational standards, and enablement strategies to accelerate customer success across environments.

You must reside in the Western Time Zone and work with a global customer base to drive scalable, repeatable solutions and best practices in reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering or solutions engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and reliability principles.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python).
• Experience building production systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own Production Readiness and Activation for customer deployments.
• Drive the first production workflow and reduce time-to-production.
• Establish guardrails for reliability, failure handling, and upgrades.
• Make customers and internal teams experts in Temporal Server and SDK.
• Set up alerting to catch issues early.
• Lead critical customer tickets and blockers to resolution.
• Optimize costs and performance with customers.
