Job summary

Temporal is seeking a backend-focused engineer to join the Cloud Platform Foundations team, building the core infrastructure behind Temporal Cloud with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and automation. You will own high availability, disaster recovery, control plane automation, and multi-tenant safety, collaborating with engineers and PMs to automate operations and improve deployment pipelines.

You should have strong Go experience, expertise with Kubernetes and PostgreSQL, and a track record

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise and data modelling.
• Experience on a control plane team for cloud-based microservices.
• Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Own HA/DR improvements and regional failover for Temporal Cloud.
• Automate control plane operations and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to scale the data layer.
• Design for reliability, latency, and developer experience.
