Job summary

Novolex is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead daily operations at its Virginia manufacturing plant. You will report to the Plant Manager, supervise a team of operations supervisors, and drive continuous improvement across production processes, safety, quality, and cost.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 8+ years of experience, and strong leadership. Spanish bilingual preferred. Novolex offers comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or business administration.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of operations management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Strong leadership and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as second-in-command to the Plant Manager and support overall plant operations.
• Lead and develop a team of operations supervisors for production excellence.
• Develop strategies to optimize performance, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership in setting and achieving operational KPIs and targets, including safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost control.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance within the plant.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and innovation in plant operations.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, providing insights, recommendations, and support in driving the plant's overall success.
