Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Plant Engineer to support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting, improving quality, cost, and efficiency. You will research and install new equipment, document procedures, and oversee tool and die operations on the production floor.

The role demands leadership of a small team, budgeting, design changes, and development of maintenance and process improvements to meet SQF standards.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Paper Science, or related field; equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient user of AutoCad and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Tool and Die technicians and coordinators to meet facility goals.
• Direct project design changes and establish efficient fabrication sequences.
• Manage tooling budget, costs, and vendor relationships for packaging machinery.
• Develop and enforce policies, standards and preventive maintenance programs.
• Support QA, SQF, and continuous improvement initiatives.
