Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production shift, directing activities to maximize productivity and minimize costs while upholding quality standards.

You will typically supervise 40+ employees, coordinate with the Scheduler on daily production requirements, and oversee interviewing, hiring, training, and performance reviews. This role emphasizes safety and continuous improvement across plant operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred in business or engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in group settings and handle conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all activities on a production shift to maximize productivity and control cost.
• Typically supervise 40+ employees and coordinate with Scheduler on daily production needs.
• Conduct interviewing, hiring and training of staff; plan, assign and direct work.
• Appraise performance, reward or discipline employees, and address complaints.
• Ensure production data is collected and reported daily; support quality initiatives.
• Maintain safety programs; review and revise as necessary to meet plant goals.
