Job summary
Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks a senior Piping Engineer to lead project teams and provide technical oversight in piping analyses for ASME B31.1 and related codes. This hybrid position requires in-office work three days per week in the United States, with collaboration across disciplines and direct client liaison to ensure successful project
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited degree with emphasis on solid mechanics & finite element analysis
- 10+ years of piping engineering experience
- Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes
- Knowledge of pipe supporting elements and piping products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical direction and supervise project teams
- Coordinate activities between disciplines and meet schedules/budgets
- Review complex calculations and approve designs for quality and operability
- Prepare and review system, installation, and material specifications
- Lead bid evaluations and vendor negotiations
- Prepare and review single- and multi-discipline reports and studies
