Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to perform advanced analysis and design tasks for piping systems in accordance with ASME codes. The role includes preparing calculations, designing P&IDs, and coordinating with project teams on budget and schedule. Hybrid work with in-office days is required.

Qualifications include a mechanical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. P.E.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical-related engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant piping engineering experience.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and related piping codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex calculations and designs.
• Develop P&IDs and master diagrams; review input for drawings.
• Prepare equipment and material specifications and bid evaluations.
• Contribute to project budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Communicate clearly with project teams and clients; document notes.
• Lead or supervise staff on task-specific design work.
