Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to provide technical direction on piping engineering and analysis projects. The role focuses on vibration, hydraulics, and piping integrity within nuclear and related facilities.

Lead engineers direct project teams, review complex calculations, and coordinate cross-discipline activities to ensure quality, constructability, and operability. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required, with ASME code expertise emphasized.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program with emphasis in solid mechanics and structural analysis.
• P.E. license required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in piping engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes.

Responsibilities

• Review complex calculations and approve simpler ones, guiding project teams.
• Review and approve designs for completeness, quality, and operability.
• Perform engineering review of drawings and coordinate interface between design and engineering.
• Prepare and review major system and material specifications; define technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare bid evaluations and participate in vendor discussions; evaluate change orders.
• Prepare and review single- and multi-discipline reports and studies for technical soundness.
