Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior Piping Engineer to lead the Piping Engineering & Analysis discipline on major U.S. power projects. You will direct project teams, set schedules and budgets, and liaise with clients to ensure technical quality and ASME code compliance.

You will review complex calculations, approve designs, coordinate interfaces, and prepare specifications and reports. A P.E. license and extensive experience are required; sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with emphasis in solid mechanics and finite element analysis.
• P.E. license and 20+ years of piping/structural engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Experience with pipe supports, system design, and project coordination.
• Strong communication skills for client liaison and team guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical direction and supervision to project teams.
• Establish task schedules and budgets to meet project goals.
• Coordinate activities between disciplines and with clients.
• Review complex calculations and approve designs and drawings.
• Prepare and review system specifications, vendor submittals, and reports.
• Lead design reviews ensuring quality, constructability and operability.
