Job summary

WSP USA Inc is currently seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to work out of our office in Chicago, Illinois. The following locations will also be considered: Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Lansing, MI, Holland, MI, Detroit, MI, Houston, TX, Tampa, FL, East Chicago, IN, Traverse City, MI, Novi, MI or Kansas City, MO.

The candidate will work with engineering teams worldwide to deliver pipeline solutions to clients in mining, oil & gas, and water sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from ABET.
5-7 years pipeline design experience in consulting or operator roles.
EIT required; PE preferred.
Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192/195, ASME B31.4/B31.8, AWWA M11.

Responsibilities

Perform work safely in field and office, operating company vehicles as needed.
Design pipelines across lifecycle: planning, FEED, routing, permitting, detail design, procurement, construction, and deactivation.
Support routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design for liquid, gas, and/or slurry pipelines.
Coordinate field investigations, surveys, and utility/environmental work for design.
Coordinate engineering and survey services for right-of-way needs.
Prepare project funding documents: cost estimates, bid summaries, and approvals.
Provide client-facing engineering support and project troubleshooting with the team.
Assist in permit application packages and related documentation.
Prepare and review proposals, technical reports, workplans, drawings, calculations, and client correspondence.
Ensure delivery per company procedures and quality plans; maintain client relationships.
