Job summary

WSP USA Inc is seeking a Lead Pipeline Engineer to join our team. The role will be based out of Tampa, FL, Kansas City, MO, Detroit, MI, East Chicago, IN, or Houston, TX, delivering pipeline solutions for mining, oil & gas, and water sectors.

Join a global engineering team, coordinating with multidisciplinary staff to advance FEED, routing, and detailed design. Travel up to 25% may be required as projects demand, with opportunities to mentor others and grow within a leading consultancy.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
7–10 years of pipeline design experience.
EIT; PE preferred.
Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192/195, ASME B31.4/B31.8, AWWA M11.
Familiar with pipeline engineering software tools such as Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, and AFT Impulse.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Safely perform work in field and office, operating company vehicles as needed.
Design pipelines systems across lifecycle: planning, FEED, routing, permitting, detailed design, procurement, construction, and deactivation/demolition.
Provide engineering support for routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design of liquid, gas, and slurry pipelines.
Coordinate field investigations and surveys, utility investigations, and geotechnical work.
Support right-of-way acquisition with engineering and survey services.
Prepare cost estimates, equipment bid summaries, and project authorization requests.
Engage in client meetings, progress reporting, proposals, and technical correspondence.
Ensure delivery aligns with company procedures and QA plans.
