Job summary

WSP USA Inc is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to work from our Chicago office, with consideration for multiple locations including Indianapolis, IN. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver pipeline solutions for mining, oil & gas, and water sectors.

You will lead field and design activities, perform stress analyses, and support right-of-way and permit processes while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5-7 years of pipeline design experience (consulting or operating company).
• EIT required; PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform work in field and office and operate vehicles as needed.
• Design pipelines across lifecycle: planning, FEED, route selection, permitting, detail design, procurement, construction, and deactivation.
• Provide engineering support for routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design of liquid, gas and/or slurry systems, incl. DOT-regulated pipelines.
• Conduct field/site walks and coordinate surveys, environmental, geotechnical investigations in support of design.
• Coordinate engineering and survey for right-of-way needs on pipeline projects.
• Prepare project documents: cost estimates, bid summaries, and authorization requests.
• Participate in client meetings, prepare progress reports, proposals and correspondence.
