Job summary

WSP USA Inc is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our Chicago office, with consideration for multiple Midwest locations. The role focuses on designing pipeline systems for liquids, gas and slurry and coordinating with multi-discipline teams to span the pipeline lifecycle.

You will engage in field and office work, support routing studies, code compliance, client communications, and project documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
5–7 years of pipeline design experience, either in consulting or operating environments.
EIT required, PE preferred.
Familiarity with pipeline design codes and regulations (49 CFR Part 192/195, ASME B31.4/B31.8, AWWA M11).

Responsibilities

Safely perform field and office work and operate vehicles for the company.
Design pipeline systems across lifecycle (planning, FEED, routing, permitting, detail design, procurement, construction, deactivation).
Provide engineering support for routing studies, stress analysis, and mechanical design of liquid, gas, and slurry pipelines.
Coordinate site walks, surveys, environmental/geotechnical investigations to support design.
Prepare cost estimates, bid summaries, and project documentation.
Interact with clients and maintain positive client relationships.
Ensure project delivery per company procedures and quality plans.
